These services are provided by PRESTAWEAVE SAS, registered in France (RCS Bobigny 991 591 652), with its physical office at 33 Rue Francois Mauriac, 93250 Villemomble, France.
1. Agreement to Terms
By accessing lughatyacademy.com, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
2. Services Provided
Lughaty Academy provides online 1-on-1 educational sessions in Arabic, English and Quran for children and teenagers, taught by native-speaking teachers over video call.
3. How Your Subscription Works
Lessons are sold as a monthly subscription with no commitment and no fixed term. You choose a lesson length (Standard, 25 minutes, or Premium, 45 minutes) and how many lessons per week, which together determine how many lessons you receive each month. Each payment covers one month. The subscription is a single contract with no end date: it runs from month to month for as long as you keep it, with no minimum number of months and no engagement period, and you can stop it at any time as described in section 7.
4. Prices and Payment
All prices are in euros and inclusive of all taxes (TTC). They are displayed on our pricing page, and the price that applies is the one shown when you pay for the month concerned. Payment is due at the start of each month, for that month. Lessons are delivered online, so there are no delivery charges and nothing is added to the displayed price.
5. Loyalty Steps
The price per lesson goes down in steps the longer you continue with us. Your step depends on the number of months you have actually paid for, and reaching it is automatic: it asks no commitment of you and cannot be bought in advance. The steps and the months at which they apply are shown on our pricing page. We may change future prices, but never for a month you have already paid.
6. Pauses and Unused Lessons
You can pause at any time. Pausing keeps the loyalty step you have reached, it simply stops advancing while you are not paying, because steps count paid months rather than elapsed ones. When you return you resume at the step your paid months entitle you to. Lessons you have paid for and not used are carried over to the following month for as long as your subscription continues.
7. Stopping
You can stop at any time, for any reason, without notice and without penalty: simply tell us before your next monthly payment. Nothing continues without a payment from you. If you stop while lessons you have already paid for remain unused, we refund them; you are never charged for teaching you did not receive.
8. Right of Withdrawal (14 days)
As a consumer you have 14 days from the day you subscribe to withdraw, without giving a reason and without penalty, under article L221-18 of the French Consumer Code. Because the subscription is a single contract with no end date rather than a fresh contract every month, this right is exercised once, at the start. From then on you keep the right to stop whenever you like, described in section 7, which costs you nothing either. To exercise your withdrawal, tell us before the 14 days are up by any clear statement, by email to [email protected], on WhatsApp, or using the model form in the next section. We will refund all sums paid within 14 days of being informed, using the same means of payment you used.
9. Lessons Starting Within the Withdrawal Period
If you ask us to start lessons before the 14 days are over, we need your express request to do so, which is why we ask for it at the moment you pay. Making that request does not cost you the right to withdraw. If you then withdraw, you owe only the part of the service already provided: the lessons actually taught, charged in proportion to the price of the month in progress. We refund the rest.
10. Model Withdrawal Form
You may, but do not have to, use this wording: “I hereby give notice that I withdraw from my contract for the provision of the following service: [monthly subscription ordered]. Ordered on: [date]. Name of consumer: [name]. Address of consumer: [address]. Date: [date].” Send it to [email protected] or to PRESTAWEAVE SAS, 33 Rue Francois Mauriac, 93250 Villemomble, France.
11. User Conduct
Students and parents are expected to maintain a respectful environment during all sessions. Recording a session, or sharing the lesson link or our teaching materials outside your household, is not permitted. We reserve the right to terminate services for misconduct.
12. What You Need for a Lesson
Lessons are held over video call. You need a computer or tablet with a working microphone, a camera if the student is comfortable using one, and an internet connection stable enough for video. We cannot make up a lesson lost to a problem on your side of the connection, though in practice we will always try to.
13. Complaints and Consumer Mediation
Please write to us first at [email protected]; almost everything is settled that way. If our answer does not satisfy you, you may refer the dispute free of charge to our consumer mediator, CM2C (Centre de la médiation de la consommation de conciliateurs de justice), 49 rue de Ponthieu, 75008 Paris, www.cm2c.net, within one year of your first written complaint, under articles L612-1 and following of the French Consumer Code. Mediation is voluntary and you remain free to go to court instead.
14. Applicable Law
These terms are governed by French law. Nothing here removes the protection you are given by the mandatory consumer law of the country you live in, and as a consumer you may bring proceedings in the courts of the place where you are domiciled.
For any questions regarding these terms, please contact us.
